Rift Beasts are ancient and powerful creatures that possess the ability to tear rifts between eras. This allows them to hunt down their prey with swift ambushes wherever and whenever they please.

Sometimes Rift Beasts leave larger rifts behind that lead to their dens in the Ancient Era, where they lay their eggs and prepare for future hunts. After defeating a Rift Beast in its den, you can choose which of its offspring survives, effectively deciding how future Rift Beasts you encounter will have evolved.

Different evolutions cause the Rift Beasts to gain different abilities and grow different body parts. Some of these body parts can be harvested and exchanged with Skarven Bloodhorn for powerful items such as Primordial Unique items and Runes of Evolutions.
